Mountain Mining Residence

Telluride Mountain Village, Colorado

This large residence is designed for extended family and friends on a ski-in/ski-out lot. The design incorporates reclaimed barnwood, hemlock, and wood from old wine casks as interior and exterior finishes. The main structure is weathered steel beams and trusses and re-purposed douglas fir timber columns. The roof is weathered corrugated steel. Stone veneer on lower level walls is quarried locally. Windows are copper-clad and kitchen countertops are honed concrete. 7,500 s.f. of floor area.
